Baby Smiles

I know what you are thinking – it’s just gas. I beg to differ. We have gotten Brooklyn to smile now on a regular basis every day over the last few weeks. She especially loves to smile at her dad when he is being goofy (leave it to dads, right? We do all the work and they get the smiles!) Just this week we think we heard our first attempt at a real giggle. As I type this however she is fussing Go figure.

Of course I tried to capture some of these sweet smiles on film . . .

As I was looking at these pictures I started thinking that it was pretty early for her to smiling already. (Don’t we always think our kids are super smart and early developers?) So I looked back through Wyatt’s baby albums to see when he hit this milestone. Turns out, it was right about the same time, maybe a little later. His first real giggle , or belly laugh I believe I had it termed, was around 9 weeks.  Here’s a blast from the past – a pic of Wyatt’s first smiling days . . .

Am I crazy or do Wyatt and Brooklyn look a lot alike??? Just for comparison sake, I thought this would be fun…

Is it just me or could this be the same kid?  If Brooklyn was a baldy like Wyatt was, I think it could pass.  So here’s a look towards the future Brooky -

One final question – am I going to have a blonde son and a brunette daughter?
