Big Brothers Rock

You know how I’ve been saying for a while now how protective Wyatt is with his baby sister?  How he is always looking out for her, protecting her and telling her how much he loves her? (Tear, I know). Yesterday I told him that since Brooklyn is just learning to sit up on her own, we need to be very careful so she doesn’t tip over and “bonk her head”.  He proceeded to create this scene….

….just to be safe.  Yep, that’s Brooklyn surrounded by pillows in all four directions, a safeguard created by none other than her big brother.

Now at 7 months Brooklyn can finally start to sit for longer periods on her own, with no support.  Although she does spontaneously tip over, usually quicker than my reflexes are, so I guess the kid had a good idea.  In fact, the pillows are still set up like that and we used to protective circle again tonight, which delighted Wyatt to no end. I made that for Brookie, mom!

And just for good measure today….yes, her eyes are this blue…..
