Crafty Mama
March 7, 2009 by Lisa Beth
I am addicted to crafts people! I may be watching too much HGTV or reading too many craft magazines, but I am totally addicted. (It may be my plethora of time spent during this maternity leave in craft stores also, he he…) I thought I’d share some of my latest projects with everyone…
Tie Fleece Blankets

I have made one for Brooklyn, one for Wyatt (“my fishy blanket, please!”) and a couple others for gifts.
Wooden Blocks

This set is a puzzle. It has Disney characters on each “side”. The child has to put the faces together by rotating blocks. Is that confusing? Wyatt loves these, but I knew he would. I’m also working on an ABC set for each of the kids, complete with their own wooden trays.
Flannel Blankets

These are a product of my new PFAFF. I am having so much fun using all the 330 decorative stitches my new machine does along the borders. How many blankets does one kid need you ask? Lots, is my answer.
Wooden Names for the kid’s bedrooms

This is Brooklyn’s, Wyatt’s is in the works. (It’s harder picking out boy-ish embellishments for a 3 year old. Flowers and gems I have loads of already.)
Crochet Dishcloths

When Chris sees me crocheting or knitting he always makes some comment about me being old. (ie: “What, are you 90?”)
Hoodie Towels

I noticed all the “baby” hoodie towels were great for Brooklyn, but Wyatt’s butt hung out the bottom of the towel, causing him to shiver and say “very, very cold, mom,” through chattering teeth. So I started making my own new and improved BIG hoodies for Wyatt!
I am periodically adding pictures of the family in our photo album section. I just update each month’s album, so keep checking in the photo album section for new pics!
