My baby is growing up . . .
June 15, 2009 by Lisa Beth
Since Brooklyn is 20 weeks old today, I thought I’d make a short but sweet list of her personality thus far…

1. She is the happiest baby I’ve ever met.
2. All of the girls who work at her daycare want to take her home.
3. She spits up gallons (OK – teaspoonfuls) of formula at least 4 times a day.
4. Her doctor calls her a “happy spitter” because the spitting up seems not to phase her one bit.
5. She weighed almost 16 pounds at her 4 month appointment.
6. When she got her vaccines, she screamed bloody murder for about 3 seconds, then looked at me like, “I’m a tough baby” and quit crying immediately.
7. She sucks on the side of my hand like she is eating corn on the cob.
8. She thinks her brother is H-I-L-A-R-I-O-U-S.
9. I can no longer sit her in my lap while I am eating, for fear I will lose my dinner to puppies below.
10. I can already tell she is going to have wonderfully long eye lashes like Wyatt.

Point proven
11.She smiles at me when I sing to her, which could mean she likes it, or she’s secretly making fun of me in her head.
12. She has learned to blow spit bubbles, to which Wyatt tells her, “NO spitting, Brook-a-lyn”
13. She smiles at anyone who will talk to her.
14. She is starting to appreciate her toys, all of which are hand-me-downs except two.
15. She still has a toothless grin, but by the way she’s drooling and chewing, I bet teeth aren’t too far off.
16. She has a bald spot on the back of her head that strongly resembles a mullet.
17.She loves splashing in the bath tub.
18. She is so pleasantly chubby, her rolls have rolls.
19. She loves wearing pink. She told me this one day.
20. She sleeps like a baby (which I think is a funny saying because don’t most babies wake up several times a night?)
And FINALLY -I can tell by the look in her eyes that she is also going to give me a “run for my money”, just like her brother.
